Windows 10: Microsoft Office Jump Lists not working anymore

I am running WIndows 10 64 bit and Office 2019 Standard. My jumplists still work for Web Browsers and WIndows Explorer but but not Office Excel and Word or adobe photoshop, acrobat. It shows the old list including pinned items and the old history which does not update anymore when I open new documents. When I try to click a pinned item in the jump list it says the item you selected is unavailable. It may have been moved ..... when I click remove the item from the list it doesn't work. I reinstalled office and it didn't fix the problem. I checked the registry and I don't have a '

Jump Lists: ‘Remove from this list’ not working with MS Office items

When I right click on a Taskbar icon, I see the jump list. Most of the jump lists allow you to ‘Remove from this list’, as show just below.




However, the jump lists on my Microsoft Word and Excel do not have that option, as per this illustration:




Is there a setting somewhere that prevents or enables the ‘Remove from this list’ taskbar jump list option with Word/Excel (i.e. MS Office)?

Hi Ken,

For us to better assist you with the taskbar Jump Lists issue, we'd like to know the following:

• Were there any changes made to the computer prior to this issue (e.g. Windows updates)?
  
• Does the issue also occur on other pinned apps/files?
  

In the meantime, we suggest to turn off/on Jump Lists in Settings. To do so, please follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + i to open Settings, then select
  Personalization.
• In the left pane, click Start.
  
• Turn Off then turn On Show recently opened items in Jump Lists on the Start or the taskbar.

Microsoft Office Taskbar Jump Lists

I use the jump lists frequently to access Pinned or Recent Files. Approximately a week ago, they stopped working. None of the Office products show the jump lists when right clicking on the product icon. I tried updating/repairing the Office 365 products
which apparently did a reinstall but the jump lists no longer work. Any ideas?
