Windows 10: Microsoft Office 16 Alerts EventID 300 - WINWORD Compositor Type 1

I have some questions regarding EventID 300 in the Event Viewer eventvwr.msc for Microsoft Office 16 Alerts, particularly when the Event Data includes "WINWORD Compositor Type 1".Question 1: Does this event log information specifically when Microsoft Word is launched?Question 2: What does "Compositor Type" indicate? Error in Event Viewer - Event ID 300 Microsoft Office 16 Alerts on Windows 11

I would appreciate any assistance with this error. I am consistently getting an error (every day, several times a day) in Event Viewer with Event ID 300 with the Source reported as Microsoft Office 16 Alerts. I am using Microsoft Office Home and Business 2016. The General Notes state:

Failed to parse element: Requirements

ABBYY crashes Office 16, Winword and Excel on Win10


This documents a problem not posted but solved by a friend. I'm posting it because when he called MS for help the solution was the first thing the tech suggested and I could find no reference to it on this site or anywhere else; therefore, it must occur often and should probably be documented.

After installing Office 16, the new WinWord and Excel kept terminating with the useless "Windows explorer stopped working." and "We'll notify you when (that means "if") a solution is found". It continued getting worse until the computer started crashing.

When he called MS and described the problem, the first thing the tech asked was, "Do you have ABBYY installed?" The answer: "Yes". When he removed the program the computer and Office 16 worked fine. ABBYY is an OCR program. For him, it was installed by an Epson scanner.

 

Event ID 300, Failed to parse element: VersionOverrides, for MS Office

We have Win 10 Pro 64-bit with an installation of MS Office 365 Family. Event Viewer (eventvwr) on this PC has errors for "Event 300, Failed to parse element: VersionOverrides" that mention "Microsoft Office 16 Alerts". Here is a copy of the complete Error:
