    Microsoft LifeCam Cinema


    Hi,


    I just bought the webcam Microsoft Lifecam Cinema, partly because reviews made me believe that it would have good picture and possibilities to adjust the picture. It know seems that there are no possibilities at all to manually adjust the picture? Is that right?


    Right now I find the white balance being really bad, and the colors to bright. If I can not adjust it I will have to try to return it to the seller.

    Hi Dale,

    To install Microsoft Lifecam Cinema on your Windows 10 computer, follow the steps below:

    • Insert the LifeCam Software disc in the CD/DVD-ROM drive, and then run the setup to start the
      Installation Wizard.
    • Connect the USB cable of the LifeCam Cinema to the USB port when the software prompts you to. Follow the guided prompts in the Installation Wizard to complete the setup.
    • Microsoft Lifecam Cinema should now be installed. Press the Windows key and search for
      Microsoft LifeCam to launch the program.

    Note: For Windows 8 and above, additional software is not required. For more information, visit this
    link.

    Lifecam Cinema

    I cannot install my LifeCam Cinema camera. The latest version of the software starts to install and then stops with an unspecified error. The Windows software works, but it is of very limited functionality. The notification window says that the installation
    is not complete, but clicking on the link for completion does nothing.

    More important, when I check the camera in Windows 10 Settings>Devices>Connected Devices, the Entry for LifeCam Cinema says "App available for this device." However, when you click on the Get App button, it takes you to a screen that says "Page not found."

    The LifeCam Cinema is stated by Microsoft to be Windows 10 compatible. So, that is not the issue.

    I have two workstations that use the camera, but they both have identical behaviors.

    Any suggestions?

    Microsoft LifeCam Cinema Camera

    I got my camera working. Following is what I did.

    1. Disconnect Microsoft LifeCam Cinema from Computer

    2. Uninstall "Micosoft LifeCam" from Programs and Features

    3. Download "LifeCam3.60" from http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/downloads

    by selecting Webcams "LifeCam Cinema". Use Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit) for

    operating system.

    4. Run program by right clicking and choosing "Troubleshoot compatibility"

    5. Select "Troubleshoot program"

    6. Check "The program worked in earlier versions of Windows but won't install or run now" &

    "The program requires additional permissions"

    7. Next

    8. Select "Windows 7" under "Which version of Windows did this program work on before?"

    9. Select "Test the program" under "Test compatibilty settings for the program"

    10. Program will run and you should see "Microsoft LifeCam" Icon come up on your desktop.

    11. Program will stop running because of an error.

    12. Clear screen

    13. Remove Notification in Action Center to continue installion. DO NOT RUN!!!

    14. Connect Microsoft LifeCam Cinema to Computer

    15. Click on "Microsoft LifeCam" Icon

    16. If you get a message about can't access files, goto Pictures and unlock LifeCam Files

    17. Good Luck
