Windows 10: Microsoft isn't sending a code to my phone number.

Why am I not receiving the code? How do I solve this? already following your support suggestion here https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/microsoft-account-security-info-verification-codes-bf2505ca-cae5-c5b4-77d1-69d3343a5452but Microsoft never sends the SMS code, I need the code to login to my account, because I updated my BIOS and I had to re-set the PIN of my account, and now I'm locked out of my PC because Microsoft won't send the code to my phone number.

Why Microsoft discriminates U.S. based phone number for sending a recovery code?

I live in the U.S. I am physically in the U.S. My cellular provider is U.S. based. I provide U.S. cell phone number to Microsoft. Why Microsoft cannot send messages to my cell phone?



Recovering locked Microsoft account. There was only one option: Enter a cell phone number for a text message with security code to unlock my account.

"We cannot send a text message to this number."

"Unfortunately, we can't send a code to that phone number. Please try a different one."







Talking to Microsoft help is useless. They suggest that I use different phone. No, I cannot use a different phone. I have domestic unlimited plan and I receive messages and codes from many businesses and companies. My cell phone provider does not block
anything as “John” from Microsoft Support claimed today. It is Microsoft blocks my attempts to enter my cell phone number as it is not good enough for Microsoft.



My question to Microsoft: Why my legitimate U.S. phone company is discriminated? Why am I discriminated? What is wrong with phone number that is not belonging to AT&T or other cellular behemoth?

For Years. Why it takes so long to add cell phone companies to the Microsoft allowed list.

When I logged into Microsoft it asked whether to send a code to my email address or to my phone. The phone number is not my current phone. I have seen multiple postings asking the same question. "How do I change the phone number associated with my account",
but I have yet to see an answer.

Can someone provide a straightforward list of steps to do this?

Microsoft sends a text to the phone number with a code that you then have to enter to recover your password. They have to be able to receive the actual text message, not just have the phone number.
