Windows 10: Microsoft Designer Compact Keyboard Not Reconnecting

I'm having an issue with a Bluetooth Microsoft Compact keyboard connecting to a new HP Zbook Laptop. Have owned the keyboard for 6 months or so, used it with multiple devices without issue but it will not stay connect to this laptop. I can pair and connect to the keyboard initially but if I power off the keyboard, computer switch the bluetooth profile etc on the keyboard it will not reconnect automatically.-I've checked the permissions to power this device off are unchecked in device manager -All drivers for keyboard, bluetooth and laptop are up to date-I've taken the batteries out of the keyb

Microsoft designer compact keyboard no connected

I have Designer Compact Keyboard which works fine on Linux system on the same machine. However, on windows 11 it pairs and works fine the first time but when doing system reboot, it just pairs but doesn't connect. I also have Microsoft ergonomic mouse which works fine after reboot. I looked around and tried multiple solutions but with no luck. Now, when I go to settings>Bluetooth & devices> Designer Compact Keyboard it says Paired only.

Did you mean the indicator on the keys shown in the figure below?





If yes, theoretically this is a light used to imply a connected host, Microsoft Designer Compact Keyboard allows up to 3 devices to be connected, and the button can be used to switch between different devices. Visit Microsoft Designer Compact Keyboard – Microsoft Accessories for more details.





So for now, you're only connected to two devices, so you'll only switch between the first two indicators. You can try connecting a third device to confirm that the light is working.

Microsoft Designer Compact keyboard wakes up my monitor

Hello,

My Microsoft Designer Compact keyboard seems to wake up my monitor 1-2 times after the monitor goes to sleep. If I turn off the keyboard the monitor doesn't wake up. How to prevent this?
