Windows 10: Microphone not detected through aux jack.

I have a combo headset, headphones and microphone. When plugged in the sounds works just fine, but the microphone portion is not detected. While selection different input devices, there is no additional options compared to when nothing is plugged in. On a separate device, my xbox, the headset microphone works just fine. I have tried with another headphone microphone combo on my computer and the microphone is still not available.

Headset's Mic not working when connected to AUX?

Hello,

I have a JBL Live 500BT headset and the microphone works flawlessly when the headset is connected over bluetooth.

However, when connecting the headset through AUX with the 3.5mm jack, and confirming it's a headset when asked by Realtek, only the headphones work and Windows claims there is no sound input device.

It's not even working if i connect the headset to the PC's a microphone jack and set the device as a microphone device.

The AUX cable does have a secondary microphone but that one only works when the headset is connected to a phone.

Is it normal that a bluetooth headset's built-in microphone does not work when the AUX cable is used?

 

Windows 10 Won't Detect Microphone in Rear Jack

Up until a few days ago, my mic worked fine in the rear jack. The other night, my PC suddenly stopped being able to detect it from that jack. It will detect my headphones just fine from the back, but my microphone is shown as unplugged in my audio devices,
even though it is plugged in. Additionally, in the device properties, it only has the front jack listed. I have disabled devices showing in the recording devices manager so I know it's not just hidden. What exactly can be done about this?

 

Computer recognizing Aux microphone as headphones

I am trying to record some piano from my electric piano, so i plugged in my aux cord into my headphone/headset jack. But the problem is, my computer only recognizes my aux cord as headphones. How can I change it from headphones to a microphone? I've tried
updating the drivers and everything! I've gone through every audio setting, but nothing is working!
