Windows 10: Microphone Causing Input Delay

Whenever I use my microphone to record, or chat with friends on discord and I play Minecraft Bedrock, I always notice input delays keyboard, mouse, etc. It is very annoying because it only happens in bedrock, and no it's not because of 1.16.200. I do play on bedrock 1.18, but I use the Non Render Dragon version Render Dragon was the engine introduced in 1.16.200 that was used for RTX and that engine was what caused all the previous issues slight camera smoothing, input delays. Microphone playback delay

Hi, I just bought a new USB microphone for my windows 10 PC. It works fine, however, I'd like to listen to myself while I record. I've followed all the steps to listen to the microphone, but there's a pretty noticeable delay in the audio. How do I fix
the delay? There's also no "levels" for the device I'm listening to it on. ( Gaming Headset)

We appreciate you posting your concern here in the Community forum. Follow these steps in order to remedy the issue:

1. Go to Settings.
2. Type in Sound.
3. Select Recording tab.
4. Select Microphone.
5. Click on Properties button.
6. Select Listen tab.
7. Uncheck Listen to this device.
8. Hit OK and go to Playback tab.
9. Select your playback device and use Properties button.
10. Select the Levels tab and unmute the microphone.

If those steps didn't fix it, try to unpair the connection and pair it again.

If issue is still there, you may try to update the driver with the use of the steps in this link.

• What is the model of the problematic Acer laptop?
• Are you aware of any changes that happened on the computer prior to this issue?
  

If the mic input on the PC is mono, plugging it into the
Line In input of the sound card and selecting Line In as the
Default Device, should resolve the issue.

Note: Make sure the Line In device is not muted in
Levels.

If it is distortion, lowering the microphone level and raising the master volume of the computer will fix the issue.

Meanwhile, I suggest you to try the troubleshooting steps listed in
Fix microphone problems and check if it works.

If the issue persists, update the BIOS, as this could also happen due to outdated BIOS. I recommend you to get in touch with the Acer support and get the latest version of BIOS installed.

Note:

Modifying BIOS/ complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from
the configuring of BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Modifications of the settings are at your own risk.
