Windows 10: Message Box TItle Text Too Large After WIndows 10 2004 Update

After updating my Windows 10 Pro version 2004 laptop an HP Spectre with 4K display on 10/15, message box title bar text is *way* too large. See the attached screen capture from Microsoft Access in Microsoft 365.





Notice how large the "Reset Test Schema" text is in the message box title bar compared to the text in the Access form "Test/Debug Tools" title bar. This happens in other apps, too, not just Office 365 apps, as the next screen capture from Quicken shows.





It also happens in the VBA development environment, where the code windows title bar text is too large.


The fonts were fine before the update, so here's a screen capture of the updates that were applied.




As noted, I have a 4K screen, so I occasionally have display size issues, but these fonts were fine before the above updates. I also checked that my display drivers were up to date, and they were.


Obviously this isn't a huge no pun intended issue, but it can cause some title bar text to be truncated and it looks awful.

Large text

That image shows the font size of Menus. Go to the tutorial:
Title Bar Text Size - Change in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums
Instead of Title bars select Menus and change it to the font size you like
Check the others as well especially Message Boxes and Icons

Personally, I have them big but I have a Touch screen and fat fingers so big is better

If you don't want to change all of the text size on your desktop, it's possible to just change the text size for the specific interface like Title bars, Menus, Message boxes, Palette titles Icons and Tooltips. Kindly follow the steps below:

• Right-click on desktop and select Display settings.
• Click on Advanced display settings.
• Scroll down and tap or click Advanced sizing of text and other items.
• Select the item you want to change in the drop-down list and choose the text size.
