Windows 10: Medsage: Windows is vulnerable due to password. Cant access my laptop now. Got a message...

My Windows said in my anti-virusBitdefender that it was vulnerable due to the password being old. When I tried to change/update the password it keeps giving me an error. I couldnt log into my Microsoft account. I tried multiple time on different days. I am texting now from my phone. Then last night my computer acted strange. Programs were open that I didnt click and it wasnt responding anymore. I got this message from Themida:An internal exception accured: Address 0xbc7148 please contact *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. Then I tried ro just shut down and restart. Now my computer has made a password o

WPA2 Vulnerability Found

A small update with regards to the Microsoft fix. The fix itself is sufficient to solve the issue on Windows, even if your WiFi device has no driver update, with one caveat:

LAPTOP is not accessible ..... Access is denied.

I am trying to share a folder on a LAPTOP. I have other a number of other systems that have folders Shared and they work fine, but with this one I get the error "LAPTOP is not accessible ..... Access is denied." when I try to access it from a different Win10 system. So I went thru the entire "How to Share Files and Folders Over a Network in Windows 10" tutorial step by step. File and Print Sharing is enabled, SMB1.0 client & server are running, and Everyone has Full Access to the Share. Still get the error. I have tried it with the Network Public and Private, with the same result. Any suggestions ? Microsoft Windows 10 Home Version 10.0.19042 Build 19042

We usually receive this error message if we have typed the password incorrectly. We can also get this error message if you login to the computer for the first time after resetting your password online.

This issue might also could be due to improper syncing of the Windows 10 computer with the Microsoft Account server or it might be due to some other reasons.

I would suggest you to first check if the CAPs lock is on and try the correct password once again. If you have recently reset the password online, I would suggest you to login with the old password and check.

Step 1:Disconnect the computer from the Internet

After the first step, I would suggest you to disconnect the computer from the Internet.

Step 2: Enable On-Screen Keyboard from the login screen

From the bottom-left corner of the login screen, click on the “Ease of access” button and then select “On-Screen Keyboard” from that menu.

Step 3: Try the new password using the On-Screen Keyboard and check.

You may first try the new password using the On-Screen Keyboard and check if that works. If that doesn’t work, then try with the old password and check.
