Windows 10: Medion Akoya Laptop is very slow

Hello - I'm having some troubles with my laptop. Medion Rolls Out AMD-based Akoya Mini E1312 Netbook

AMD-based netbook offerings are not so widespread these days, but Medion's new Akoya Mini E1312 makes an exception. The Mini E1312 gets AMD Sempron 210U power-saving processor technology and ATI Radeon Xpress 1250 graphics instead of the usual Intel combo. It also has a 160GB hard disk, 1 GB DDR2 RAM, 6-cell battery with a 9-cell option, 1.3 MP webcam, and Bluetooth 2.1. In addition there are three USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI port, a 3-in-1 multi-format memory card reader, 802.11b/g/draft-n Wi-Fi and an Ethernet port. Finally, there is the netbook's display which is a 11.6-inch screen with 1366x768 native 16:9 resolution. The Medion Akoya Mini E1312 is running Microsoft Windows XP and will be available in black or white starting from 12 July, priced at £339.99 with a 3-year warranty.

Medion Akoya S2218 Touchpad stops working on logon

I have a problem with a Medion Akoya S2218 running Windows 10. I type in the password and while the desktop is loading, I move the pointer around using touchpad and in a few seconds it will stop responding (also the icon in tray keeps showing the last state
- in this case one finger touch).

I have seen a similar problem posted in this community relation to the MEDION AKOYA P2212T laptop with "ELAN PS/2 Port Smart-Pad" running windows 8.1 That problem was resolved by toggling FN and F9 key (keypad on\off)

I have reloaded Windows but the problem persists.

Logoff does not re-enable touchpad, neither does logging in as a different user. Touchpad stops working after logon also if I reboot and login as a new user (created just before reboot). I know there is a setting to auto-disable touchpad when USB mouse is
plugged in, but I have this disabled (and removing USB mouse does solve my issue).

Any ideas?
