Windows 10: Mediatek Wifi 6 MT7921 Code 45 error

I have had a problem for several months now where the wifi driver for my Asus gaming laptop will, with no warning, hide itself in the device manager, and stop functioning. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the driver more times than I can count, completely reset my laptop at least three times, the driver is completely up to date according to MyAsus and Windows, and I've tried many fixes that apparently have fixed this issue for others. I experiencing the same problem and believe I found at least a long-term workaround. Do note that this is not a permanent solution, but should subdue the problem for a least a few weeks to a couple of months before needing to redo the process.

If you could to most other web pages regarding the same problem, they will most likely tell you to restart your computer, open the command prompt and type a few lines of code, or perhaps restart your BIOS. I can say that sometimes it works but it is not a 100% guaranteed solution. It is also a good idea to head to your computer's model webpage and ensure you have the latest driver installed.

The method I found that has proven the most useful is to manually clean the hardware of the computer. Rather than trying several software solutions, look toward a hardware solution. I can not speak for all computers/laptops, but for my ASUS A15 Gaming Laptop, I simply remove the underside panel showing the circuit board, battery, memory card, and all the gizmos. To my understanding, the reason for the Code 45 is that the Wi-Fi card is overheating and this is due to not enough air circulation in the laptops. I would recommend cleaning (safely) the small motor fans built into the computer to remove any dust or debris. I predominantly use a lightly damped paper towel to remove the dirt but a dried one. If you are unconfident in your abilities, take it to a professional. Once complete, reattach the undersized panel that is back in place and restart your laptop.

From personal experience, this has solved my Code 45 problems for up to a few weeks to maybe a little over a month before needing to repeat the process. I believe that the Mediatek Wifi 6 MT7921 was manufactured without being resisted to high amounts of heat. Therefore, having constant airflow to provide a cooling mechanism is essential and theoretically solves the problem.

Thanks to you i have fixed this problem. I have Asus M16 (2021) and wifi card disconnected random. Now it's ok. I hope that windows update doesn't blow everything up again....
