Media Streaming Option Missing Windows 11

I cannot enable media streaming DLNA in Windows 11 because the option to do so has vanished from the Network and Sharing Center. I used to enable streaming from inside the old Windows Media Player, but I recently uninstalled that as I expected to use the new Media Player, and I suspect that the problem occurred when I did the uninstal. I have checked that the Media Features check box is ticked in Turn Windows Features on or off, and I have even tried first clearing the check box then ticking it again.Nothing I do seems to bring back the option to turn streaming stream on or off so I'd be v

  2. Media streaming option is missing please help

    Hi Kevin,

There's another way on how you can turn on the Media Streaming option in your Windows 10 device. Here's how:

    • Launch Windows Media Player.
    • Click on Stream and choose Turn on media streaming.
    • A new window will pop up. Click on the Turn on media streaming button.

If the option is still not available, we suggest creating a new user profile with administrator privileges to check if the option will appear.

Once you have verified that the option is available in the newly created user profile, you can transfer your data from the old user account to the newly created one.

If you need further assistance, feel free to contact us.

  3. Windows Media Player 11 misses release day

Microsoft had scheduled Windows Media Player 11 for final release on October 24th, 2006. Microsoft has delayed release of the next version of its media player to an unspecified date. "As with any release, quality is our top priority, and we felt we needed a few additional days to bring Windows Media Player 11 up to the high quality standards we--and our customers and partners--demand." Microsoft did not mention exactly what part of Windows Media Player 11 didn't meet the bar. Microsoft has no defined date of when Windows Media Player 11 will be released, though rumors around the internet claim that Microsoft will release it on October 30th.

    Media Streaming Options

With Windows 10 media streaming options, is it possible to stream video to multiple devices, i.e., smart TVs connected to the same network via ethernet cable? In other words, if I play a video on my computer (either on the hard drive or via the internet)
can I stream this to multiple smart TVs simultaneously if they are connected to the same network? Is it just a matter of placing a check in the checkboxes on media streaming options for all devices seen by the utility?
