Media player won't rip last song on cd

Media player not ripping last song on 3 different CDs. ALL 3 have a "blank" spot, or dead space, then there's another track, or something. I am 100% sure I ripped 1 into Itunes 15 years ago without any problem. There's nothing in rip settings, literally 2 options. Anyone have an idea how to fix this?

    :)

  2. CD RIP in Media Player

RIP option does not come on in Windows Media Player when I load a CD. The songs are shown correctly in the listing but I am unable to rip to file. This has always worked OK before today.
