Windows 10: MDM folder size is more than 30 GB

System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\mdmin this folder there are about 500 files each file has the same exact sizethe user is having low disk space issues, I did disk cleanup but not enough can I delete the content of this folder?windows 10managed by intunethanks

Change in folder size after enabling Bitlocker

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

We understand you concern related to the size of the folder displayed. Try these steps to narrow down the issue:

1. Disable bitlocker
   and then check the folder size.
2. We would also suggest you to open the folder and select all files and see the size of the contents.

Let us know if the size of the contents matches the folder size. If you see a difference, then the folder might be showing incorrect size.

Kindly reply us with the requested information to assist you better.

Directory Size Utility

First of all nice utility, Mindweaver!
Second of all, it's so nice to see that this section ain't dead.

I have a few questions/suggestions, maybe you'd want to see ...

• maybe you rename Get Folder button caption to something more intuitive? Add Folder, Get Folder Size, Check Folder Size or something like that?
  
• Could you add subfolder files to the right pane? (it can be a tickbox with include sub dirs)
  
• maybe you also add export list to excel?
  
• there's delete file button maybe you add delete folder button too?
  
• and finally maybe you can add UP button for directories?

 

Window 10 Fall creators update, Windows folder Size is: 59.6 GB and Size on Disk is 59.2. Is it such a huge update?

First of all I would like to thank Jomel Santos for responding to my query.

Somehow, I do not want to reinstall Window 10 Fall Creators Update. Until now, I haven't experienced any problem with the OS.

After my query, I browsed various sites relating to Win 10 Fall Creators update. Somebody, suggested that one of the reason for such a huge size may be due to the presence of old drivers in Windows\system32\DriverStore. I did delete some obsolete drivers.
But didn't gain huge space in terms of GBs.

I also read in Microsoft's site that MS will remove unnecessary folders after a period of 30 days from the date of installation.

When I checked the size of Windows folder just now, the Size is : 53.6 GB and Size on Disk is 53.7GB.

I assume that after the expiry of 30 days, I hope Windows folder size will be reduced.
