Windows 10: Maximum lifespan of battery in myasus app is disappeared and replaced by Battery care mode...

I've recently come across a problem with the battery health charging setting intergrated inside the MyAsus app. I've set it to maximum lifespan mode which only allows the battery to be charged up to 60%, but for some reason, when i restarted my laptop while plugged in, the battery level kept charging until it reaches 80%, and the option "maximum lifespan" is disappeared, only you can choose between either 100% Full capacity or battery care mode which means to be charged up to 80%!!! any clues on how to fix this to return to 60%? This problem started today, I have tried uninstalling the app a

I am an Independent Microsoft Advisor. It seems like you're using "Maximum Lifespan Mode", try to switch to "Full Capacity Mode".

Go through below steps.

Step 1. Click on start and search for "MyASUS".

Step 2. Navigate to "Battery Healt" Tab.

Step 3. Choose "Full Capacity Mode" and save the settings.

Now try to charge if you're still facing issues. Once restart the system and then check.

Laptop Battery, Does It Hurt the Battery to Use External AC Power?

This BIOS setting in my new HP ProBook is under Advanced / Power Management Options / Battery Health Meter / Maximise Battery Health. The BIOS info box says This setting will maximise battery health by lowering the maximum battery charge lvele to 80%

 

Never using battery power in a laptop

You should have a 'My Asus' app in the start list, if not it should be in the Ms Store I think. You can run the battery down to 60% or under then apply the Maximum lifespan mode for it. It does creep over the 60% over time but still stops the battery being fully charged all the time.
