Windows 10: MAPI Failiure

Word couldn't send mail because of MAPI failure: "Unspecified error."I have a Windows 11 Hewlett Packard laptop. Need help on how to fix this. Thank you.

Windows Live Mail - export - MAPI error

If you encounter "Unable to perform export" when trying to export an email as a file. Error initializing MAPI", you can refer to the following steps to solve the problem:

1. Make sure Outlook is the default mail client:
   
   • Open the Control Panel.
     
   • Select Programs > Default Programs > Set Default Programs.
     
   • Locate Microsoft Outlook and make sure it's set as the default mail client.
     
2. Repair or reinstall Outlook:
   
   • Sometimes, the installation files of Outlook may get corrupted, affecting the proper working of MAPI. You can try to repair Outlook:
     
     • Open Control Panel > Programs and Features.
       
     • Find Microsoft Outlook or Office Suite, right-click, and select Change > Repair.
       
   • If the fix doesn't work, you can try reinstalling Outlook.
     
3. Make sure MAPI support is turned on:
   
   • In Outlook, open File > Options> Trust Center> Trust Center Settings> Email Security.
     
   • Make sure "Use MAPI security profile" or similar option is enabled.
     
4. Download and use MFCMAPI:
   
   • Visit the GitHub page of MFCMAPI to download the tool.
     
   • Use MFCMAPI to access MAPI data directly, try to export the data.
     
   • Be cautious when using the tool and make sure to back up your data, as improper handling may lead to data corruption.

MAPI

Hello

I am having trouble sending email from my word program. a window pops up from the view more info, and it says to fix my MAPI. But I do not know how to fix my MAPI I do not know what a MAPI is. By the way I have windows 10.
