Windows 10: Looking for drivers for Microsoft Trackball Optical on Windows 11

Hello,I have a Microsoft Trackball Optical USB 1.0 and recently switched to Windows 11. Where can I find suitable drivers that I can configure the trackball and assign the buttons appropriately? Thank you Dennis

Then you uninstall "Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center" through the control panel and install the Intellipoint software instead.

Now when you go to your mouse settings you will see the correct mouse.

My question is, why does the mouse and keyboard center list the "Trackball Explorer" as a compatible device when it clearly is not and do they plan to correct this mistake?

Note: Microsoft made a HUGE, STUPID, SHORTSIGHTED, IDIOTIC, and UNPROFITABLE mistake when they stopped selling these.

They go for over $300 new on ebay now. All they needed to do was change the material the 3 small bearings where made of. (FYI you can buy replacement bearings on Ebay now.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'trackball tools.' Microsoft no longer makes a trackball mouse. You can still

download drivers for the Trackball Explorer, but that mouse is not supported on Windows 10. If you've got the 32-bit version of Windows 10, the driver for 32-bit Windows 8 might work, but there's no way to know in advance how successful that will
be.

It is not. You can see the mice that Microsoft still sells

Microsoft Intellimouse Trackball drivers for windows 10?

As you can see, the latest supported version of Windows is Windows 8. The trackball may work with Windows 10, but it may not function correctly. If that's the case, you may need to buy a newer product, as there are now official drivers for Windows 10 available.
