Windows 10: Lock screen, Taskbar, Applications & Shortcut Issues

I woke up in the morning finding out that my HDMI cable was stolen.I still have no idea who did but as I replaced it with a new HDMI cable, my device acted strange As seen in the images aboveAs I was placing the new HDMI cable, the monitor stated that the DVI cable was missing. I ignored it and rebooted my device. It booted just fine, but then I saw a blank screen. I later found out that it was the lock screen.It was odd to find out that the lock screen was blank with no wallpaper. Clicking around didn't seem to work so I'd simply pressed the ENTER key.Here's a list of the issues in text for

Windows 10 Taskbar sometimes on top of full-screen applications

I suggest you to change the Screen Resolution and check if this helps. Follow the steps below to do the same:

• Press ‘Windows ’ key on the keyboard.
• In the search box, type Settings
  
• SelectSystem > Display > Advanced display settings.
• Under Resolution, select a new value. We suggest you stick with the resolution marked
  "(Recommended)”.

Also try locking and then unlocking the Taskbar and check if this helps. Follow the steps below:

• Right-click an empty space on the taskbar.
• If Lock the Taskbar has a check mark next to it, the taskbar is locked.
  
• If it does not have a check mark, click Lock the Taskbar.

How do you remove the taskbar from bottom of the screen.

How do I add a shortcut to the Taskbar on Windows 10

As per the issue description you are unable to add a shortcut to the taskbar in Windows 10. You are right that there is no option to pin the shortcut to the taskbar. However, you should be able to drag and drop the shortcut to the taskbar. If you are unable
to do that try the steps provided below and see if it helps you to fix the issue.

• Open the network connection page by clicking on the shortcut.
• Once that page is open, you could see the same in the taskbar.
• Now, right click on the icon of network connection in the taskbar which is representing your shortcut.
• Select the option pin to the taskbar.
• Now the shortcut will be pinned to the taskbar.
