Windows 10: Local and MS Account Administrators - conflict?

My sister plays a set of games that uses a game manager to present prior games purchases, trial games, etc. Since she got a new PC Dell Inspiron Windows 11 HOME, she gets error messages when she tries to play a game she owns . Most of the time it is an "ACCESS violation at 0x...., tried to write to 0x.... There is a long string after 0x. I have uninstalled the game manager and any individual related games situated on her C drive. I worked with McAfee and eliminated it as a cause. I downloaded the games manager to my PC and had no issues when signed into her account.DIFFERENCE? She

How to revert local account to administrator acc.


Hello. I am not sure I understand the question. Let me see:

• You had an administrative account (local, not MS).
• You changed this administrative account to a limited account.
• You want to change the limited account back to an administrative account.
• You have another administrative account, but you don't know the password.

Is this correct?

You must be logged into an administrative account in order to give administrative rights to a local account.

Does another user of the computer know the password to the administrative account?
Did you create a password reset disk for the administrative account?

 

Local account installation question

I'm fairly certain that Skip this step was available in 10.0.130 - the workaround in Step 20 (back button) is no longer required.

The currently known, as of 10.0.130, ways to create a Local account sign-in are

• Skip this step at the MS account creation phase
• No Internet connection during the install
• static IP (post# 2 by Fragment) - New (to me anyway)

 

Change Microsoft Account Details in Administrator Account

It's quite easy in fact, simply switch the account in question first to a local account, then switch back to a Microsoft account, this time using your wife's MS account credentials.

Notice that before doing this you need to remove the new additional MS account on the PC, the one you created with her credentials. Windows allows only one user account for each email address, if the new account exists you cannot switch the original administrator account to an MS account using the same email address.
