    Link phone to Computer APP causing HEIC format problem


    Yesterday I linked my android phone to my computer with Windows 10, in order to be able to share photos. Since I added the link, I have not been able to send pics to my computer, since they are sent in the heic format, not the jpg format. My computer does not recognize the heic format. I decided to delete the link windows app from my phone in hopes of changing it back to jpg format. But my phone still can only send pictures in the heic format. I could sent pics in the jpg format before I added the link app to my phone. I checked my camera settings and the high efficiency setting is turned off

    PowerToys changes format to HEIC

    - Installed PowerToys to Windows 11.

    - Took photos that were transferred from iPhone to Windows 11 and resized them.

    - Photos has a HEIC format but opened fine on Laptop.

    - Checked PowerToys settings, and Image Resizer settings but couldn't find anything to suggest that they should be changed to HEIC,

    Was it just a false positive? As in they are actually jpg but it says HEIC because they were transferred from an iPhone.

    Photo App "Collection" shows no photos in HEIC format

    Even though I can view HEIC-picture with the Windows 10 photos app (and I can view next and previous HEIC-pictures), but if I click on "Collection / all pictures" in the Photo app (button top left) it shows no HEIC-pictures (only other picture formates)
