Windows 10: LENOVO Thinkpad L14 Windows 11 Ent 24h2 upgrade kicks out the wifi options

We had a recent batch of laptops delivered to site and upon registering and setting them up we noticed after rebooting the device after initial setup The wifi driver seems to be disabled and we cant enable it, on top of this there is no other way we can get the wifi adapter to show up on the system tray to search for wifi networks to connect to and it just remains disabled in adapter options The current temporary fix I have found which works at the moment is open Regedit as adminGo here:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WinHttpAutoProxySvc Change the 'Start value' to

I'm not sure that VMD has anything to do with SATA devices. Intel(R) Volume Management Device—SSD Hot Plug for the Data Center

Win 11 upgrade on a Lenovo Thinkpad Ultrabook

I just figured out the problem. The processor in my Lenovo ThinkPad is not on the list of processors that are "compatible with Windows 11 at this time" even though it surpasses the required specs. It is Intel Core i7-6600U CPU @ 2.60GHz

 

Lenovo Recalls 208,000 ThinkPad Batteries

On March 1, 2007, Lenovo voluntarily recalled certain 208,000 9-cell lithium-ion batteries. These batteries were manufactured for use with ThinkPad notebook computers that shipped worldwide between November 2005 and February 2007. All ThinkPad R60, R60e Series, ThinkPad T60, T60p Series and ThinkPad Z60m, Z61e, Z61m, and Z61p Series with 9-cell 10.8V, 5.2 Ah batteries with part number FRU P/N 92P1131 are being recalled. All affected batteries will be replaced free of charge. Lenovo suggests those computers with defective units remove the battery and use the AC adaptor until a replacement has arrived.
