Windows 10: LED mouse won't turn off after shutdown, tried everything!

Hi, I bought an LED gaming mouse and it the light won't turn off after shutting down my computer. It's quite annoying as it's very bright and in my bedroom.


The developer has already told me there is no button or software to turn the LED light off on the mouse.


I have tried plugging the mouse into multiple USB slots, the slots always sends power after shutdown.


I have tried several things that other people with LED mouses had done to resolve their similar problem, to no avail. I have tried going into Power > Additional Power Settings > Change What Power Buttons Do > and turned off Fast Startup. The mouse is still on after shutdown.


I have also tried going into Advanced Settings for Power Options and disabling USB selecting suspend setting, as some people say that fixed it. It didn't for me.


In a last attempt, I decided it must be a motherboard thing and went into the BIOS to fool around I know you should never do this. I found a setting for USB hibernation or something and turned that off, but all that seems to have done is disable USB power during start up - whoops. So now I can't access my BIOS because the keyboard is disabled during set up probably a good thing and I don't see the eve ASUS startup thingy during startup.


I'm wondering if anyone knows any other option that might stop sending USB power to my mouse after I shutdown. I know 100% my computer is shutting down and not going into sleep. This problem is with my all my USB ports, as I notice a small light on my external hard drive stays on after shutting down as well.

Laptop won' t shutdown (or restart) and sleep [takes forever]

The situation:

• When shutting down, the laptop proceeds as normal until the screen turns off.
• After the screen turns off, it takes a while for the battery LED to go off.
• After that the power led remains on and it looks like the laptop is stuck in this state forever.
• When I try to get my laptop to sleep, something similar happens; the power led remains on, the battery led turns off and the laptop appears to be stuck in this state.

My laptop is: Asus FX553VD.

What I've tried:

• I have tried to troubleshoot power management and power options.
• Tried clean boot.
• Updated the BIOS.
• Reinstalled windows and tried shutdown and sleep (without installing the drivers and stuff), however that didn't work either.

Additional Info:

• I have multiple operating systems installed in my laptop, however this problem persists on windows only (the OSes are installed on different drives).
• The disk usage is abnormally high.
• There are spikes in CPU usage that kick up the fan really fast while idle.

Please suggest other ideas as to what I should do?

I have a Finalmouse and mouse led is on after I shutdown PC. Is it the mouse or my pc? This mouse has no driver, just plug n play.
