Windows 10: Leapfrog Leapreader not syncing.

    Leapfrog Leapreader not syncing.


    Ive been trying for 2 days to this work, and it keeps syncing and disconnecting before anything happens. Can anyone help?

    LeapFrog Connect freezes and crashes after inserting LeapReader in USB - Win 10

    Win Specs

    Edition: windows 10pro

    version: 1709

    OS build: 16299.125

    Hi,

    I have the following problem.

    Since about 2 months ago we haven't been able to use our LeapReader because it keeps on saying we need to connect it to a computer to download the companion audio etc.. (even thought we had already done that previously and everything was working just fine).

    As soon as we plug it in the USB, leapFrogConnect opens up, freezes and then crashes (will try to upload an image).

    The message I get is "LeapFrog connect Application has stopped working. a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available".

    I tried the following things but had no luck:

    1) uninstalled and reinstalled leapConnect (restarting pc)

    2) deleted following drivers from Device Manager (restarted pc)

    disk drives

    leapfrog LeapReader USB Device

    universal Serial Bus controllers

    USB mass Storage Device

    3) uninstalled and reinstalled leapConnect (restarting pc)

    I unchecked option "computer would retain some of your information"

    4) Connect program and press/hold ctrl+shift+R

    and then a window popped up telling me to connect

    the leapreader I wanted to reset. I closed that popup as it

    directed, connected my misbehaving leapreader,..and leapConnect CRASHED

    5) also tried compatibility mode (not sure I got the right settings there)

    6) also tried clean boot by running only microsoft services n hiding/disabling the others

    then I uninstalled and installed leapConnect and tried again. Fail

    Ps. I have also noticed that at some point the green light on my leapReader keeps on flashing

    Please help. My son loves this toy and it would be really really sad not being able to use it again.

    Caanot get Leapfrog connect to install

    I have been trying to download this leapfrog connect so my son can finally play with his leapreader and leapstart 3d but I keep getting error messages?

    this is a brand new laptop I got today with windows 10 and both my son and myself are getting extremely frustrated with it not working. I have also emailed Leapfrog about this too. Any help to get this fixed would be greatly appreciated!

    Leapfrog Leapreader not syncing.

    LeapFrog Explorer

    I am trying to connect my daughter's LeapPad 2 to my computer via the LeapFrog Explorer app. It ran just fine before the Windows 10 update, but required a LeapFrog Explorer update this time. I am receiving the msg_1714 error code that it is unable to remove
    the older version of the LeapFrog Explorer Plug-in. How can I remove this so the update will install?
