Windows 10: Laptop won't update - keeps saying "something went wrong, undoing changes"

Today I attempted to update my computer and install "2025-04 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 24H2 for x64 KB5054979" and "2025-04 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems KB5055523". Both of these failed, the laptop got to 99% complete updates and then displayed the "something went wrong - undoing changes" screen. This went back and forth for a while before my computer restarted. I tried to run the update troubleshooter but this also did not work. Please can you advise? I am really worried something is wrong with my lap

my laptop says undoing changes when i update

when i restart my laptop to download the updates it goes to 30% then says "undoing changes" i dont know if its common because i dont see any solution for my problem. if it has something to do with clipSVC pleas tell me because it keeps stopping

Whenever I try to install the march update it says that something went wrong and that it was undoing changes. And then it says install error KB5023706

I am trying to install this update but every time it says that something went wrong and it was undoing the changes. I tried it at least 10 times but the same thing happens every time. any thoughts?

edit - I should say that I keep getting install error KB5023706 everytime
