Windows 10: Laptop will not connect to DSL router, but will to another connected router.

Hi, for more context I have DSL, router 1 has a phone jack to work with dsl, router 2 only has ethernet jacks, which is plugged into router 1.All other devices work with both router 1 and router 2. Except my Laptop which has an intel dual band wireless-ac 3160. Router 1 is a C4000BZ. I ran some troubleshooting previously wlan report and it reported the the connection was being made and dropped every few seconds. The reason being a "capability reset". I'm not sure precisely what this means. Router 1 has 802.11a/n/ac/ax enabled.So it seems to me that the connection is valid and that the issue

Weird Router Stuff - Cannot Connect

I'm completely at a loss here.

In my house we connect through a router. This machine and two others are connected through it. However, for the life of me, I cannot get my laptop to connect to it. I've tried automatically finding the IP/DNS and specifying some IPs in the range given by the router manual, but to no avail.

If I specify the IPs, the connection shows as "Connected, 100mbps" but I can't access the Internet or (more worryingly) access the router at all. If I select automatically find IPs, as the router manual suggests, it doesn't work at all (I get a "limited or no connectivity" message).

What on earth is happening?? This is a new, fresh install of XP on the laptop so it can't be past connections causing a problem.

Using DSL Router as a normal NON-DSL router?

Since the main router share internet for the old router. The old router doesn't have DSL signal, the light kept flashing endlessly.

I'm the only one use torrent and my pc connected directly to the main router instead.
