Windows 10: Laptop unable to get IP address from DHCP server after power outage

After a short power outage at my home, that happened while my laptop was turned off, something happened with my connection to the DHCP server. Currently one of the laptops in the house is unable to retrieve an address from the router's DHCP server. My laptop has been assigned an APIPA address, and has not resolved after restarting the router or laptop. All other devices seem unaffected. when trying ipconfig /release and /renew I get an error stating that the media is disconnected. in ipconfig /all DHCP is enabled. DHCP renewal of IP address with ISP denied

I wonder if anyone can advise concerning a series of messages appearing in the logs of my two networked computers?

Examples of the messages:

• ON ALPHA: The IP address lease 192.168.0.3 for the Network Card with network address 0x0024E8F1F44F has been denied by the DHCP server 192.168.0.1 (The DHCP Server sent a DHCPNACK message).
• On BETA: The IP address lease 192.168.0.2 for the Network Card with network address 0x7071BCA36DBF has been denied by the DHCP server 192.168.0.1 (The DHCP Server sent a DHCPNACK message).

The advent of either appears to kill my internet connection requiring a router restart. I should add that sometimes both PCs are on, but often only one is. In the latter case, the issue still occurs on the active PC, normally BETA because it is the more powerful of the two.

To describe this network, ALPHA is a Windows 7 32bit laptop, and BETA is a 64bit Windows 10 desktop. Both PCs are connected to the internet via a Netgear DC834GV3 router connected to my ISP.

ALPHA has LAN network address 192.168.0.3, and BETA is 192.168.0.2. The router is 192.168.0.1. A simple network map is displayed below:






Both PCs are getting on a bit but are still fully working. The PCs and router are powered off usually and the cables disconnected from the mains, but the messages still occur with the router left on but the PCs switched off.

DHCP server does not assign IP and Yellow Exclamation mark

Good Day, I am experiencing a bit of a problem with my DHCP Server (Windows Server 2012 R2). For some reason it is displaying yellow exclamation icons next to the server and scope tree items. When this happens, no new machines can connect to the network and automatically receive an IP address. My only way around this is to enter a static IP on the new machine, that does not appear in the DHCP servers Address Leases list. This seems rather strange as I can see gaps in the leased IP range but these are not being assigned automatically and the laptop does not complain when I enter it manually so it is not in use. Can anyone offer some advice or attempt to point me in the right direction.

DHCP server is failing to produce a valid IP address. any suggestions?

I cannot connect to the internet because my DHCP server fails to produce a valid ip address. Don't know why. I have tried ipconfig release and renew commands but it still doesn't work.

Any suggestions please
