    Laptop not working without power source


    Here is the thing before you guys try to suggest any fix:

    - I have tried all method online. My battery is 100% fully charged. I try disable/able uninstall/reinstall battery module in device management, disable fast startup, ect...

    - My battery is still healthy it was working a week ago. Never let it ran out of batter always charge at 20% So it can not be dead in one week ok.

    - Another day I accidentally check for update which is stupid regardless of Microsoft update is buch of shiit recently and let it auto-update ... how silly of me.

    Now my laptop won't working without the power source. Could it be the update or anything relate to bios? I check with laptop diagnostic from Levono, my model is: Y900-17ISK Laptop ideapad - Type 80Q1.

    - Could anyone having same problem and know how to fix it?

    Windows won't boot up when unplug laptop power source

    The problem is that, if i didn't unplug the power source from the laptop(ie : i just leave it connected to the power source) the laptop can boot just fine. The problem happens when i unplug the power source, and plug in back with the power source, the laptop
    will go black screen after the acer logo

    Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community. I understand the issue you are facing and appreciate the steps taken to solve the issue.

    I suggest you to perform a Power Drain by following the steps provided below and check if it helps.

    • Shut down the Computer.
    • Remove all power source (including battery if it is a laptop).
    • Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds.
    • Connect the power source and start the computer.
    • After the computer boots to the desktop, suggest you to install all the pending updates.
