Windows 10: Laptop is only turning on when on power otherwise it is instantly closing and it does...

Hi I own a Alienware M15 R7 and this stupid laptop won’t even bother to work even though it has only been a year of me using this laptop.I take sufficient precautions and steps to mantain the laptop such as cleaning the charging port and keyboard.But today it just won’t seem to respond at all.No matter what key on battery or off it’s shutting down every single time .Please help.

My hp laptop wont turn on

This is a frequent problem am sure as you have already seen from online searches.

Flea power is usually the culprit here, basically its residual power that remains on the computer even after thecomputer has been shutdown. You can drain the flea power with the steps the other answers have suggested.

• Disconnecting the battery and adapter
• Press the hardpress the power button for 30 seconds
• This should clear the flea power

Laptop goes to sleep when the LID is closed while playing the game.

• Have you connected the external monitor to the Laptop?
• Did you make any recent changes prior to the issue?
• Are you facing this issue specifically when playing the specific Game?
• Are you facing this issue after any recent updates installed?

This issue might have caused due to the power settings for the closing of LID is set to sleep mode.

I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• Press Windows + X keys and select the Control Panel.
• Select Power options by searching in search box.
• Right side select Change Plan setting next to the power plans.
• Select the Change advanced Power plan settings.
• Under the list select and expand Power buttons and lid.
• Select Turn off the display under the drop down of setting.
• Click Apply. Ok.
• Close the LID and Check if the issue resolves.

Then, shutdown your PC and check.
