Windows 10: Laptop battery says 92% but when unplugged it instantly dies.

So i have a msi gp66 leopard, my battery says 92 percent however it insstantly shuts off when i unplug it, i tried the msi battery calibration, it goes from recharging to discharging in a matter of seconds then..... it dies. any possible solution?

Laptop dies without power supply even tho battery says it has charge


My laptop (HP 15 Notebook PC) won't boot unless it is plugged in even though the battery apparently has charge. (It won't charge past 73% also?) If I unplug the power supply it will die instantly. This started happening yesterday after I installed the latest windows 10 update and I just wanted to see if It is software thing before I go and buy a new battery, any help appreciated thanks.

 

Laptop Battery dead

It was at 92% for long time but I knew there was an issue as I unplug the laptop at night so no risk of lighting strikes (Yeah lost system to lightening reason I unplug) and I use to just shut down and unplug and let the battery take care of the shut down but one night I unplugged it and the laptop just shut down right away. Happened a couple times so knew there was an issue going on with the battery no longer powering the laptop.

So it sat at 92% for long time being I always using the A/C adapter, but one day it wasn't fully seated and it drained the battery and it's still dead in fact the Bios is also effected as it keeps advising me when I boot up

 

Laptop battery issue

Hey everyone! I have an old dell laptop with a pentium 2 and 64MB of ram. Real powerful(lol). It is running 98. The old battery had died and purchased a generic replacement supposedly for that model. The numbers match and all. The problem is the notebook will not recognize the battery. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks. It is just for notes and stuff.
