Windows 10: keyboard touch sensitivity

When I type, the cursor often jumps to another portion of the manuscript without my instructing it to do so. Whenever I ask people about it, they say my finger touched some other part of the keyboard or my clothing brushed it, but neither is true. The only thing I can figure out is the keyboard is too sensitive. How do I make it less sensitive? Or how can I otherwise mitigate against it if it's not a sensitivity issue?

Keyboard sensitivity issue


Hi,

I wasn't sure where to post this, i have a computer that has a keyboard sensitivity issue only in File Explorer.

this is a Windows 10 Enterprise laptop. This occurs with built in keyboard and when an external keyboard is used.

This sensitivity is not an issue in Applications such as Microsoft Word 2016 or notepad.

Any suggestions?

If the above steps didn't work, we suggest that you disable the Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service. Please follow these steps:

• Click on Start.
• Type Services, and then press Enter.
• On the right pane, look for Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service. Double-click on it.
• Locate the Startup Type drop down, and change it to Disabled.
• Click on Apply button to save changes.
• Click on OK button to close the Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service
  window.
