This suggests to me that you are using the wrong "keyboard language" for your keyboard, and that therefore you first step would be to determine exactly what language keyboard you have. Possibly have a look at Windows Keyboard Layouts - Globalization | Microsoft Docs.

(The age of any laptop capable of running Windows 10 at all should not be a problem as regards keyboard layout)

 

UAE laptop keyboards not recognizing the number two key

My laptop keyboards in the UAE do not display the number two when pressed nor does it display the "at" symbol.

I have changed keyboard layouts and languages between US English and UK English in order to see if this changes anything.

I have the same issue on my MSi titan gt76, hp x360 and this ROG X Flow16. All are running windows 11.

I installed sharp keys software as I read this may help with keyboard remapping and seen number two key is not recognized in the list of keys.

When I cycle through the number keys I get the following:

number one: 1

number two: '

number three: 3

number four: 4

number five: 5

number six: 6

etc.

Any ideas anyone?
