Windows 10: Keyboard keeps beeping even though toggle keys is off

I’ve had a problem with my Vivobook which is whenever using keyboard shortcuts like the windows key or shift, caps, etc, my keyboard beeps, even though the toggle keys option is off, and when I check the settings and confirm that it’s off, it won’t happen anymore until I reboot. It’s quite annoying the laptop is an ASUS Vivobook 14 F1402ZA

Laptop Keyboard keys not working -- not a hardware issue.

Change the Keyboard Settings - Follow these steps:

1. Right-click on the Windows Start button and open the Settings app.
   
2. Select the Accessibility tab from the left sidebar.
   
3. Click on Keyboard on the right side of the screen.
   
4. Disable the toggles next to Sticky keys, Filter keys, and Toggle keys.
   
5. Disable the toggle next to Underline access keys.
   
6. Then, go to Typing under Related settings.
   
7. Turn off the toggles next to Show text suggestions when typing on the physical keyboard and Multilingual text suggestions.
   
8. After that, click on Advanced keyboard settings and make sure the correct language option is selected.
   

 

To Turn On or Off Toggle Keys Tone

As you have an issue with sound on toggle keys, I suggest you to change the toggle keys settings
and check.

Steps:

• Press Windows key from keyboard and type
  Toggle.
• Select Hear a tone while pressing Caps lock, Num lock and Scroll lock.
• Under Toggle keys, change the settings and check.

If the issue still persists, Run troubleshooter from
Fix sound problems and check.

Keyboard beeping on any key

To help you with your concern, we suggest that you troubleshoot the keyboard. Follow these step by step instructions on how to troubleshoot:

• Click Windows tab.
• Type Troubleshooting.
• On the left side, click View all.
• Choose Hardware and Devices.
• It will prompt you to run as Administrator. Enter your credentials then it will check for any problems with your computer.
