Windows 10: JBL Quantum 100 mic not working software-wise.

Allow me to explain the title. It turns out that the mic actually works on my laptop, but doesn't on my main workstation. It has an older split input jack for mic and headphones, but the actual adapter/splitter does work tested it on generic earphones from my mobile phone. This leads me to suspect that the software side is to blame. Also, It did work, but I had to connect it to a PS4 controller which was connected via USB to my PC, which in turn caused the sound to become horrendous.

First things first, let's check if your microphone is enabled in Windows. Right-click on the volume icon in the taskbar and select "Sounds." From there, go to the "Recording" tab and see if your BL Quantum 100 mic is listed. If it's there, make sure it's enabled by right-clicking on it and selecting "Enable."

If your mic is not listed, make sure it's properly plugged in and try restarting your laptop. If that doesn't work, try plugging your mic into a different USB port or headphone jack on your laptop, just in case there's an issue with the current one you're using.

If none of these steps work, it's possible that a recent Windows update may have caused the issue. You can try rolling back your system to a previous restore point when your mic was working, or try updating your audio drivers to see if that fixes the problem.

I checked the JBL Quantum 100 specs and couldn't find this information.

See the JBL Quantum 100 cable. Does it have two P2 plugs (two black or white lines) or only one P3 plug (three black or white lines)?
If you prefer, send a photo of the plug.

Where did you download the driver installer from?
