    hello everyone,I have just encountered with my computer crashing several times after installing a driver from intel . i had to do so to play valorant . i know i can play valorant because it met with 90+ fps requirments . i have a DELL INSPIRON 5601 2IN1 computer with i5 11th gen and iris xe graphics 8gb ram . whenever i wanted to play valorant it tells d3d11 error something . and thats how i installed a driver from intel . after that installation my cmputer kept crashing . even while writing thi question in crashed twice so this is my 3rd time writing . like it crashes every 10 minutes. so ple

    according to laptop support page they do list an old downloadable driver for intel for windows 7 , weather this is related to there being several variants of that laptop or this laptop has switchable graphics i may just suggest you reset the bios and see if things change , if yes you may be able to apply step 2 , if not then apply step 4 and call it today , you are still better off being on the high performance gpu .

    Out of curiosity can you take a snap shot from Settings > System > Display. Scroll down and click the “Graphics Settings” ?

    I suggest you to follow the below methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1: I suggest you to run the hardware troubleshooter as below and check if it helps.

    • Type in search bar as control panel.
    • Then select troubleshooting.
    • Click on hardware and sound option.
    • Then click on “hardware and devices “and follow the on screen instructions.
    Method 2: I suggest you to uninstall the network drivers as below steps.

    • Press Windows+X and select “Device manager”.
    • Then expand the Network adapters.
    • Right click on the driver and uninstall it.
    And then go to the manufacturers website download the network drivers, install it and check if the issue persists.

    • Which player are you using?
    • Did you try to play the same video's using different player?
    I suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps.

    Step 1:

    Install all the Windows updates including optional updates and check if it works.

    Step 2:

    I would suggest you to update the video driver from the device manager and check if it helps.

    • Press Windows + X and select device manager.
    • Expand display adapter and right click on installed driver and click on update.
    Step 3:
    If doesn't work, I would suggest you to install the latest available drivers on manufacturer's website in compatibility mode and check.

    Follow the steps below on how to install driver in compatibility mode:

    1. Download the driver from the manufacturer’s website and save it on your local disk.

    2. Right click on the setup file of the driver and select “Properties”.

    3. Select “Compatibility” Tab.

    4. Place a check mark next to “Run this program in Compatibility mode” and select operating system from the drop down list.

    5. Let the driver install and then check the functionality.
