Windows 10: It is utterly unnaceptable that you can not turn off auto image enhancements in photo viewer

I made an account just to write this up - Microsoft, fix this **** IMMEDIATELY. The fact that I cannot SIMPLY VIEW A PHOTO IN THE MANNER THAT IT OBJECTIVELY APPEARS is legitimately grounds to quit using windows altogether. You can even have auto image enhancement default toggled on, but LET US TURN IT OFF. Seriously this is such a basic offering that should be AUTOMATIC with every single installation of windows, I can not believe you have this setting HARD CODED BURNED into the featureset of the photos app with no way to turn it off. Why Can't I Remove 'Auto Enhance' From Photos ?

I don't WANT my photos auto enhanced. The auto enhance feature in the Photos app leaves me with no idea of what the photo genuinely looks like, and thus any alterations I myself make to the photo are
utterly pointless as auto enhance kicks in and over-rides them ! I am thus saving a picture based on what auto enhance did...and not on the changes I made myself. How utterly absurd...it makes nonsense of even having Edit functions.

There used to be an option to block auto enhance. Which is what I have always done up until Microsoft, in their infinite lack of wisdom, decided to
remove that option.

When are we getting back the option to remove auto enhance ? If we aren't, then I'm just going to delete the Photos app as being possibly the most pointless 'photo editing' software ever invented.

 

Windows 10 Photo App Enhance

Hello Jana,

To turn off the auto-enhance feature of the Photos app, follow these steps:

• Click Start and type Photos then hit
  Enter.
• On the lower left side panel, click Settings.
• Under Automatically enhance my photos, just move the slider to
  Off.
