    Issue Regarding Trial License Extension for Team Foundation Server


    Hello,I'm posting in regard to an issue I'm facing with a trial license of Team Foundation Server 2015 for my company. We had to extend the trial license once and the extension has almost ended. We are in the process of migrating from one server to another, but we were looking to extend the trial one more time to provide more time to test the new server. The option to extend the trial period is in the Administration Console and I receive a new window stating that the trial can be extended. There is a link in the instructions in which it describes providing a Current Trial ID to Microsoft and I

    Will It Require Visual Studio License For Build Tool on Team Foundation Server?

    Hi,

    We have upgraded our application to Roslyn Compiler from CSC Compiler. Currently, we are facing issue in Build project on TFS build server.

    We are using Visual Studio 2017 Professional Edition and Team Foundation Server 2017.

    We want to know that if we install Visual Studio 2017 With Build Tool on Team Foundation Server, will it require Visual Studio license ?

    Team Foundation Server 2017 Find my licence type

    Hi All,

    Asking for a client of mine. They currrently have Team Foundation Server 2017 in use but they do not have a note of the licence type or key that was installed. Sadly the person responsible has moved on and they now need this information.

    I have looked in the normal place in TFS Admin Console but it does not display the licence type. I know it is not a trial version as there is no link to complete the trial upgrade. I just need to find out what type of licence was used.

    Pretty sure I can get the key from the registry... maybe
