Windows 10: Is this Spotlight or a Scam?

In October I purchased a Lenovo computer preloaded with Windows 11 for my 96 year old mother who previously used a 2009 Dell with Windows 10 which could no longer be updated. I set her computer up with a custom photo as her desktop background. I also set it up to go to sleep after 10 minutes of inactivity. When she wants to wake the computer up she hits "enter" twice and whatever screen was up when it went to sleep would come back up. Yesterday she called me in a panic and told me the computer didn't wake up. She also told me that earlier, when she woke up the computer, that a pretty scenic

Windows Spotlight on the lock screen

There are multiple causes on why you're encountering this issue. To further troubleshoot the issue, we suggest that you disable and re-enable Spotlight. Simply follow the steps below:

• Right-click on the desktop and open Personalize.
• Open Lock Screen tab.
• Under Background, switch from Windows Spotlight to a Picture or the Slideshow.
• Click OK and close the Window.
• Now Log off and log in.
• Navigate to Lock screen and enable Windows Spotlight again.

One of the possible reasons why your laptop is not asking if you like the spotlight choice might be because the Windows spotlight is not set as your lock screen background. To address this concern, we suggest enabling Windows spotlight as your lock screen
