  1. Is there a way to bring back the desktop switching animation?

Hi! I updated to Windows 11 a while ago, and there's something about it that has been bugging me for a while now. In Windows 10, you could use the shortcut Ctrl + Windows key + the arrow keys to switch between desktops. In Windows 11, you can still do this, but the animation for it was removed. If you could tell me a way to bring it back, that would be great!

    :)

  2. How to disable animation when switching workspace in Windows 10?

    1. Click on the Start button (or push the Windows key on your keyboard)
    2. Type "Adjust the appearance and performance of Windows" and select it from the suggestions menu.
    3. Uncheck the checkbox for "Animate windows when minimizing and maximizing".

This will stop the animation when switching between Windows 10 Workspaces/Desktops.

    Black animations on second moditor

I've recently added a second monitor to my PC, and since day one many desktop animations and previews are black. To list some:

    • Window switch to maximize/windowed mode animation
    • Window previews when hovering over apps on the task bar
    • In the Win+Tab menu the wallpaper and all window previews are black
    • Same when dragging a window against a screen edge for the selection of the second window
    • On the desktop switch animation (Ctrl+Win+Left/Right) the incoming desktop is black until the end of the animation, and the initial desktop is way too bright during the animation
Not all animations are broken though, some do work:

    • Dragging windows around
    • Resizing windows but not to fullscreen
    • Dragging and holding windows against the screen border (until you release the mouse)
    • Windows menu animations
    • Right-click menu animations
All animations still work perfectly fine on the main monitor.

Here are some videos from the broken animations:

    2022-01-06 13-01-06_Trim (2).mp4

IMG_0314.MOV (I don't mean the screen being too bright after the animation, that's obviously because of the recording, but that at the begin of the animation the initial desktop is way too bright)

Windows 10 Virtual Desktop Switching Animation

I recently discovered the option to use multiple virtual desktops in Windows 10, and I've already found it to be useful for quickly switching between programs without having to minimize windows and look through tabs to find what I have open.

One use I thought it would be good for would be quickly switching between two desktops, one with a videogame in fullscreen being played and another with, say, a program displaying system temperatures open, to be able to easily transition from playing a game
to checking on my system to make sure it's running well. However, upon trying this, I found it wasn't all great. It works as expected, but when using the Ctrl + Windows + Arrow key shortcut to switch from the desktop the game is running on to the other one,
I found that the game will be be minimized when I switch back to the desktop it is on, and the animation for switching from the game desktop to the secondary desktop does not play properly when the game is in fullscreen - it will instead show a black screen
for roughly the duration of the normal animation, and then the desktop I was switching to will appear with no animation at all. This isn't the smooth experience I was hoping to get, so I'm wondering if there is some way to fix both of these problems - the
animation not showing when switching from a desktop with a fullscreen game running on it, and that fullscreen game now being minimized when I get back to it.

Any help would be appreciated, as this is a feature I want to make use of but will refrain from using if issues such as these exist.
