    Is there a fix for windows 11 "Can't find Printer error msg 1801"


    When trying to add a printer, getting "We can't find the printer you're trying to install. Check to see if the printer was renamed and try to install it again or contact your network administrator for help. Error: #1801". I have tried installing as an administrator; nothing found in the registry; IP address install same msg; tried installing using network admin user profile; tried using command prompt install; l have also installed the drivers and a few others things to no avail. It is running windows 11 pro and up to date and trying to install a Canon C5860. I am able to install on othe

    Can't share printer—getting error message

    Step 1: Go to store.
    Step 2: Buy a less shitty printer.
    Step 3: Pick up some beer while you are there.
    Step 4: Enjoy both your new printer and your beer.

    In all seriousness, I have had more issues with Lexmark printers and their shitty drivers then any other manufacturer, HP is a close second though.

    However, if you don't want to get a new printer*Laugh :laugh:, and I can understand that, when my Lexmark was giving me the same troubles in Win7(and Vista) I had to make sure the Windows firewall was ON and the firewall service was enabled and running. After I shared it I could re-disable the firewall and firewall services.

    Unable to connect printers; gives me the error code 1801

    Original Title: Error #1801

    I have a HP-15GO42DS laptop with windows 10 upgrade. After my last windows update i can no longer connect to my network on my laptop. I have used the add printers and scanner program and it sees the network but says it cannot connect and gives me the error
    code 1801. Can anyone help me?

    Can't share printer—getting error message

    Not working... I see the printer, but when I go to add it, I get this messge: "Windows could not connect to the printer (error 0x0000000d)."

    I installed the 32-bit drivers for it and printed something out from the pc the printer is connected to, and I went to the additional drivers page and added drivers for 64-bit, and when I went to add the printer on the other machine, it copied drivers over, but after that I got the error message listed above...
