I installed a game onto my laptop a few months back and just played it recently, only to find the files and folders in the appdate/roaming folder just bit a large chunk out of my disk space the large amounts of space that Windows updates take up don't help either, especially since it takes so long for the temp files from them to be deleted. I figured out I can copy the files to my external and change the directory so the game pulls from my external and not the appdata/roaming folder. Since I copied all the files to my external, is it safe for me to delete the ones in my appdata/roaming folde

    :)

AppData Roaming Files on single use computer

To research further about this concern, kindly answer the following questions for clarification:

    • About the roaming function, do you wish to prevent Windows 10 from storing files on the AppData>Roaming folder?
    • If not, do you wish to delete some files on the AppData folder?

Kindly specify which kind of configuration you wish to perform. Meanwhile, we suggest that you check this

    Java.nio.file - Copying files

You can't copy a folder, thats why it generates an exception (you are trying to copy a folder using a copy file function).
You probably need to list all the files inside that folder and copy one by one
