Windows 10: Is it safe for me to share bitlocker recovery key to someone from a repair laptop center?

I had a trouble with my laptop and long story short it need to change one of the elements of the motherboard. The service guy said they need the bitlocker recovery key because they change the hardware. Is it safe for me to share it to them? If not, are there any workarunds I definitely dont want to format it P. S. This is not an official service center.

How do I get my Bitlocker recovery key?

I have corrupted files I can't delete on a laptop. To resolve this I need to rey deleting in safe mode but when I try going into safe mode I am asked for a bitlocker recovery key. I have never turned bitlocker on.

If I go to my account then I can see 2 devices listed, laptop and desktop, but when I look for bitlocker recovery keys only the desktop is listed.

How do I get a key for the laptop or is it shared across all the devices used by an account?

If I can't get this then it seems Microsoft are just bricking my laptop because I want to use safe mode.

What puzzles me is why the Bitlocker recovery key is not listed on the microsoft account, but there is a recovery key listed there for a computer I do not recognise.

I have several laptops but only the HP Envy has had Bitlocker on it. So what key is this on my account? And why isn't the Envy key there?
