Windows 10: Is it possible to define and customize LLDP message from my Lan to network switches?

Hi all,We have a Cisco switch 2960X-24T with LLDP enabled.I would like to know which switch port my PC just connected by using LLDP to search.But the LLDP message sent from the PC to switch is not the host name but something like mac address.Can we do something on it?Thanks.

Lan networking

Hi to everyone, as a ignorant guy on lan networking, I want add a computer with win10 os to an existing lan computers of network have win7 os. Is there anybody who can explain the steps of this process simply?In
my setup there is a switch and there is no internet connection.

 

How to Dump Networking Parameters?


Had a customer with this problem, they had a brand new Dell Optiplex 3050, with Windows 10 1709, and Realtek Gbit Family of lan adapters (wired connection). After much troubleshooting (many suggestions listed in the course of this thread), it turned out the PC needed a bios update. Among the updates listed on the dell website for bios version 1.52 (I flashed it with the latest 1.92) was "Update RealtekLOM".

LOM is "lan on motherboard" and the Realtek has flashable firmware.

One step for others having this issue is to check their computer manufacturer's website for "Lom" firmware updates for the particular network adapter - whether integrated or an add-in.

To define the home network, you just need to go to the settings for the email account you want to set up. Go to Connection Settings -> Incoming messages. Set up whatever network you want to use (either wifi or whatever) in Access Point in use (when you go
in there, select "user defined" first, and it will show you a list of access points defined in the device).
