  1. Invalid value of registry and Apps not opening

I have a Windows 11 Home Single Language system upgraded from Windows 10 last year. Last week the Windows Security app, McAfee and other Windows apps stopped opening. I tried restarting/going back to a restore point. I checked Windows Update and the cumulative update failed every time I tried to download and install it. So, I ran the sfc /scannow command which fixed something, so I restarted the laptop but the problem was not solved. Invalid value for registry

I have a problem in that my windows 10 store app will not open. When i go to settings update and security and select activation and then select go to store nothing happens apart from a box appearing saying Invalid value for registry. my wife also has a
user account on this laptop and can access the sore app fine. Hope someone may have a suggestion to help me solve this issue.

    "invalid value for the registry"

After a recent windows update when trying to open pictures i get the error message "invalid value for the registry". I have further details for this problem. First when i changed the app from "twinui" -- the "recommended" app for windows 10 to the old
"windows photo viewer" (through the file manager) -- all the pictures opened and no invalid registry nonsense. But it does mean something is wrong with TwinUI that Microsoft needs to address. The recommended app causes the registry problem. Not acceptable.
