We currently have configuration profiles setup on are corporate iphones and android devices but the “maximum minutes of inactivity until screen lock” And “Maximum minutes after screen lock before password is required” Do not work, the policy is applying to the device as I can see the new metrics appear on the iPhone that are set in the configuration profile, but they are not getting selected as the default settings on the phoneApparently this is down to the default time that the phone is originally set to, so if the phone is set to 30s by default, then the policy im settin

Hi,

My brand new laptop is going to lock screen after 1 minute inacivity.

I have tried:

- power managment settings

- screen saver settings

- lock screen settings

After these steps I was going to hardcore as:

- registry manipulating (screen saver, inactivity timer, powerscheme, etc.)

- group policy settings (auto lock, timers, etc.)

I thought I am a professional expert, however until today. My laptop is going to lock screen always.

Disable inactive lock screen.


Good afternoon,

I've got a feeling I'm missing something really basic but I am unable to disable the lock screen that appears after approx 5 minutes of inactivity.
I've used registry and deactivated it following tutorials but that has only stopped the lock screen on start up.

I'm sure I've got it turned off in settings but it still appears.
Can anyone please point me in the right direction?

I suggest you to follow the steps below to disable the lock screen and check if it helps.

How to disable Lock screen on Windows 10 group policy:

If wanted to turn off lock screen pictures, then I suggest you to follow the steps below to turn off lock screen pictures through group policy editor.

1. Press Windows Key + R Key.

2. Type "gpedit.msc" without the quotes in the run box and hit on
Enter Key.

3. Then follow the path below:

Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Control Panel > Personalization

4. Now on the right side, Double click that
Do not display the lock screen option.

5. Set the option as Enabled.

6. Click on Apply and then click on
Ok.

7. Close Group policy editor and restart your computer.

Note: The above steps is applicable to Windows 10 pro version.
