Internet Problem on new PC Ethernet

Since I got my new PC, I have been experiencing problems with my internet: I get kicked out of Fortnite games randomly, experience packet loss in Rocket League, Roblox gets stuck on the "Joining Server" screen, and I can't watch YouTube videos at 720p or higher because they load too slowly and become laggy. However, when I do a speed test, everything seems fine—I get over 200 Mbps download and over 40 Mbps upload speeds.I’ve looked for solutions but couldn’t find any. It’s not my router or ethernet cable, because when I plugged the same ethernet cable into my laptop, it worked perfectly fine.

    :)

IP configuration not valid - interference from ethernet adapter?

Solution 1: No Internet Access In Windows 8.1or Windows 10

    Step 1:

Go to Device Manager → Network adapters.
    Step 2:

    Expand it (Network adapters).

    Step 3:

    Select your network adapter

    Step 4:

Right click on your wireless network adapter or Ethernet adapter and then tap “Update Driver Software”.
(in this case your network adopter is Ethernet adopter so tap your Ethernet adapter)
    Step 5:

Now on a new window you will need to click on “Browse my computer for driver software”.

    Step 8:

After the completion of the process just restart your PC and check if the problem is solved or not. If not, goto solution 2.

Solution 2: No Internet Access In Windows 8.1,windows10

    Step 1:

    Open command prompt.
    Step 2:

Just go on hitting the enter after typing the each command.
netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disable
netsh int tcp set global rss=enabled
    Step 3:

Now to check if the settings are disabled type:
    netsh int tcp show global
    then hit enter.
    Step 4:

Now the thing left is just rebooting your system and just check if the problem is solved or not and just give feedback.*chuckle*Thumbs

  3. Ethernet plugged in but no internet

I have FiOS internet. An Ethernet cable runs from the outside box into my router. From there I use an Ethernet cable running from the router into my PC. I have never had Internet problems until yesterday. I remoted into my PC. I opened a browser, and it said no internet. Seemend strange seeing I could remote in. I went through troubleshooting steps, and eventually got kicked out of my PC.

I get home, and power cycle to PC and the router. Nothing. I check all connections in my house, everything is connected. I take to Ethernet cable and plug it into my Mac. I get internet. The only thing not getting Internet is my PC.

I have no idea what to do. Many suggestions say to update things. How do you update anything if you cant reach the Internet? It's as if something is blocking my internet access on my PC.

It doesn't have wi-fi so I can't connect that way. I have tried to plug in the Ethernet cable into the USB and still no internet. I get messages that I'm on my local network, but no internet.

    Help!!!!!!!!!!!!

Internet Problem on new PC Ethernet

Changing internet type on a internet passthrough ethernet connection

    Hi SanJ16,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community forum.

You may try the following steps on your laptop and check if it works.

    1. Open ‘Settings’ and choose ‘Network and Internet’.
    2. Click on ‘Ethernet’ and tap ‘Properties’ for the network connection.
    3. Set it to ‘Private’ and turn on ‘Make this PC discoverable’.
    4. Close settings when finished.

    Hope it helps,
