Windows 10: Intel Wireless Bluetooth This device cannot start. Code 10 STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE

Hello! Now, I have another problem. Bluetooth doesn't want to work. In the device manager, next to Intel Wireless Bluetooth, there is a small yellow triangle exclamation mark inside. And this error code greets me: This device cannot be started. Code: 10 STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE.I'm asking anyone who can help me because I can't use bluetooth. I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver with clean install.

We appreciate your effort on this. We understand that you receive an error, The device cannot start (Code 10) for Intel Wireless Bluetooth.



As per the error Code 10 "This device cannot start. (Code 10)", we will need to update the drivers. However, as per the error message Code 22 "This device is disabled”. You will need to enable the device. For more information, see

Error codes in Device Manager in Windows.



We would like to know, if you were able to install the latest drivers for Intel Wireless Bluetooth. We would also like to know the make and model of the computer that you are using.



You may try updating the drivers through Device Manager and see if that helps. Refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows key + X, and select
   Device Manager.
   
2. Expand Bluetooth.
   
3. Right click on the Bluetooth device and select
   Update Driver.
   
4. If you do not find Intel Wireless Bluetooth under
   Bluetooth, expand Network adapters and check.
   
5. Restart the computer.

Intel Wireless Bluetooth Driver Status_Device_Power_Failure (Code 10) Device Cannot Start

This driver has been working for awhile, seems like it stopped working within the last two weeks, is there a known issue tied to a specific windows update or other related issue?

The following troubleshooting has been attempted:

• Uninstall driver
• Use default windows driver
• Uninstall driver and reboot
• Uninstall driver and reboot and install driver from manufacturer 20.10.0.9 Rev.C Jan 17, 2018

• Contacted HP tech
  • Attempted again all of the above
  • Attempted to uninstall reinstall all network related drivers with OEM drivers
  • Attempted chip set driver and BIOS updates, overrides
• Uninstall driver and reboot and attempt latest Intel driver 20.90.1.1

  • Turn Off Fast Shutdown (Power Settings)
  • Turn Off USB Suspend (Power Settings)

Do observe the drive installed but has the following error message in Device Manager "This device cannot start. (Code 10) STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE.

Although not likely material, ibtfw.dat has all "Unknown" for provider, file version, etc.

Alternative problem code is "0000000A"

Problem status is "C000009E"

Device Power State "D3", does not seem to mention PDCAP_WAKE_FROM_D3_Supported

Attempted a SHIFT reboot.

No concerning results with:

• run Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
• run Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
• DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
• type sfc /scannow

Intel Bluetooth adapter cannot start (code 10) STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE

Intel adapter that doubles as both wifi, and bluetooth.

Over the last few days, my bluetooth adapter has failed a number of times. When it fails, there is no bluetooth icon, nothing can connect to bluetooth, and the device shows with an exclamation mark in device manager with the status...

STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE

This device worked fine, until recent updates, and this device works perfectly fine in kubuntu, which I dual boot with. Rebooting generally makes the device work, but is inconvenient to have to do this all the time.

I partly rely on this technology on this computer to accommodate a disability. Unless this can be resolved, I'm going to have to go to some extreme out-of-the way measures to accommodate.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
