Windows 10: Installing windows 10 is stuck at 0% after resetting pc

I just got a new ssd for my desktop pc and after I installed it I copied the files on my hard drive like windows, videos, and video games onto the ssd. I then tried to make my ssd into the primary boot option for windows so that it’ll be fast but it didn’t work I kept trying and trying until I got to the automatic repair screen. At first I didn’t want to reset my computer because then I had to redownload everything but I just decided to do it anyway so that it would make my ssd faster. During the reset I got to the installing windows don’t turn off your pc this will take a while. I noticed it’

Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?
