  2. Installed a game from ocean of games. The avengers.aio exe deleted my windows defender and installed malware on my computer. How to fix it.

So, I downloaded a game from ocean of games. The game had a 3 step installation process. It came with a video tutorial of how to do it as well.

    Step: 1 was installing setup_0.

Step: 2 was extracting and installing setup_1.

Step: 3 was extracting and installing seup_2.

Before doing all of this it asked me to disable windows defender, which I did, then I followed all the steps.

Setup_0 did a lot of processes.

Setup_1 was I think named avengers.aio exe which deleted my windows defender.

Setup_2 was the only setup really necessary for installation of the game. But I did not know that at the time.

The other two setups is more or less what deleted my windows defender, installed viruses/malware in my computer which can change a lot of things on my computer without my permission.

One of the few things that I noticed is that it can now change my 'User account control settings' to 'never notify' even though I had turned it on to 'always notify'. This is just one of the many things it can do to my pc without asking for permission.

I have used Malwarebytes, RKill and Microsoft Safety scanner to remove the malware.

But I think some highly resistant malware/virus is still running. It starts working right when I start windows.

Another thing I found on internet is that the malware also uses your computer to mine crypto which I think is true because whenever I turn on my internet, the ram usage, gpu usage, etc. goes up. The fan in the computer periodically starts working even when I am personally not doing any heavy tasks.

Can somebody provide me with help to what should I do. I know that I was incredibly stupid. I should never use sketcky websites and should never ever download anything from sketchy websites and should not disable windows defender when a sketcky software asks me to and should never ever ever install any sketchy setup or .exe file or any other type of file.

So after all this what can I do. Is my personal info at risk?

Is ther any way for me to completely solve the problem or is a clean install of win 10 the only way forward.

Subject: Urgent Assistance Needed: Windows Security Services Disabled After Downloading GTA 4 from Untrusted Source

    Message:

    Hello Microsoft Community,

I hope this message finds you well. I am facing a critical issue with my Windows Security Services after downloading GTA 4 from an untrusted source (Ocean of Games). I acknowledge that this was a mistake, and I am seeking urgent assistance to rectify the situation.

Here is a brief overview of the problem:

    1. **Download Details:**

    - Downloaded GTA 4 from Ocean of Games.

    - File size: 13.7 GB.

    - Followed a 3-step installation process with an additional file named "AVENGERS AIO."

    2. **Security Compromise:**

    - Disabled Real-time Protection in Windows Security during installation.

    - Attempted to run the "AVENGERS AIO" file, but nothing happened.

    - After 3 minutes, received a notification that Windows Security Service was disabled.

    - Noticed changes in Windows Local Group Policies made by the "administrator."

    3. **Response and Actions Taken:**

    - Promptly re-enabled Real-time Protection, which quarantined most virus processes and files.

    - Installed Malwarebytes and conducted a scan, which identified and removed 39 malware files.

    - Upon restarting, Windows Security shows "Security at a Glance," but other security features are not functioning (e.g., Microsoft Offline Scan)

    4. **Seeking Assistance:**

    - Attempted various methods to reactivate Windows Security Services without success.

    - The malicious activity deleted essential services and modified numerous registry keys.

i think i downloaded it from here GTA 4 Download Free OR GTA IV With Updates Free Download THE FILE SIZE IS 13.7 GB

I urgently need guidance on how to restore the deleted services, recover the altered registry keys, and reactivate all Windows Security features. Your prompt assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time and support.

    Sincerely,

    [MICROSOFT USER]
