Windows 10: Install Cities Skylines 2 from Microsoft Store

I was given Cities Skylines 2 on CD for Christmas. Unfortunately my laptop doesn't have a CD drive.Is it possible to install from the Microsoft Store and use my Activation Code from the CD to activate it?Thanks

I understand how frustrating it can be when a game keeps reinstalling itself. Here are a few steps you could try to resolve this issue:

1. Check for residual files: Even though you have uninstalled the game, there might be some residual files left behind that are causing the game to reinstall. Check your 'Program Files' or 'Program Files (x86)' folder for any 'Cities Skylines' or 'Xbox' related folders and delete them.
   
2. Check scheduled tasks: The game might be set to install itself as a scheduled task. Open the Task Scheduler by typing 'Task Scheduler' into the Start menu and check for any tasks related to 'Cities Skylines' or 'Xbox'. If you find any, disable or delete them.
   
3. Reset Microsoft Store cache: The Microsoft Store cache might be causing this issue. Open the 'Run' dialog box by pressing 'Windows Key + R', type 'wsreset.exe', and press 'Enter'. This will reset the Microsoft Store cache.
   
4. Check for updates: Make sure your Windows is up to date. Go to 'Settings' -> 'Windows Update' and click 'Check for updates'.
