Hello, I want a new computer Mister windows!.Due to occasionally critical comments on youtube regarding the Ukraine conflict on wion canal and hindustan times and so on, often under the influence a bit ive been become a high priority target by an hacker. I own an 2023 expensive Lenovo pc with win 11 home, latest graphics etc. It started previous month. I used to use windows hello with numeric pincode, to login to my outlook email and pcsame pincode, relative short microsoft account with the same microsoft/emailadress and used the microsoft account also for login on youtube. I was hoping someone could give me a list of step by step instructions you use as a guide to clean virus, malware...etc. so I can keep my PC clean if it gets infected.

Hi:

There is no one set of "boilerplate", "cookbook" or standard steps.
Each computer is unique.
Each malware infection is unique.
Proper diagnosis, cleanup and repair depends on the particular infection and the system that is infected.
The process can be tedious and time-consuming, often requiring the use of multiple powerful tools, in the proper sequence.
Many of them can actually damage the system if deployed improperly by untrained computer users.

Bottom line:
Malware cleanup is best done with *customized* support provided by trained individuals who know what tools to use and how to use them.

There are a few folks with such expertise here at this forum (I am not one of them).
And there are a number of reputable computer disinfection fora where trained malware removal experts provide free, custom assistance.

Infected operating system warning

A message has come up:

Attention!

Infected operating system (4) viruses and your system damaged. It is necessary to clean the system from viruses as quickly as possible.

Do not ignore this warning

There is an OK tab in the dialogue box to click and a screen behind showing a 2 step remedy:

Step 1 - press the button DOWNLOAD and load for free now!

Step 2 - select and open the application to restore The systems!

So it looks really dodgy, but when I go into Windows Defender Security Center, there is a warning sign on Virus & threat protection and it says there are actions recommended in AVG Antivirus, which is what I have installed for viruses, and a link to open
AVG Antivirus, but AVG won't open either from here or from the start button.

Can anyone tell me if this is a genuine warning message or not? It looks wrong and my computer seems to be working as normal as far as I can tell, but I'm concerned that I can't get into AVG to check it.
